The true way goes over a rope which is not stretched at any height but just above the ground. It seems more designed to make people stumble than to be walked upon. --F. Kafka--

Falling Into the Central Canal

January 14, 2006

Yep.

I’m going to give up the ghost of blogger.com.

I’ve left my old blog for this one.

Why the fuck move from an established blogging platform to a new and untested one?

1. I see lots of potential in i.ph. God! It’s even better than the over-hyped wordpress.com. I see this platform as the middle ground between the blogger.com and wordpress.org. It’s that good.

2. I think wordpress.org is one of the best platforms out there. It’s got quite a lot of features for the control freaks out there. Unfortunately, It requires me to learn quite a lot of technical stuff (PHP, MySQL) that I really have no time for. It also required me to have my own server or domain. I looked around, and found some good deals like ploghost but I wanted my blogging to be free because I am a bit strapped for cash. In short, wordpress.org is great but it’s a pain to install and maintain.

3. I hated what happened to me with blogger.com. I posted two cool posts and they failed to appear! I was pretty much pissed off because this is the second time it happened! It reappeared a few days later near the middle of the page! Now who would read that low, huh? That was the last nail on the coffin. Fuck.

Disappointed? Yes!

Angry? A bit.

Dissolutioned w/ blogger.com? You betcha.

From now on I’m sticking right here.

Wow! I love the new look. The background is cool and I like the pic. Is it a doorknob?

I've changed all my links, at least the ones I could find. Your new design looks very professional. Perfect aesthetics. Myself, I'm too lazy to switch from blogger to anything else.
